Singapore Rugby Union Chooses Headhunter Sport as Official Apparel Partner
With just four weeks to go before the third edition of the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens launches in Singapore, the Singapore Rugby Union has announced Brunei-based rugby apparel makers Headhunter Sport as their Official Apparel Partner.
All national teams representing Singapore will have their full kit sponsored by Headhunter, outfitting not just players but also the referees and coaches, said Jonathan Leow, Co-Chairman Marketing Commission, Singapore Rugby Union. He added: “We’re very honoured to have them onboard as partners in a multi-year deal to establish rugby in the region. Jersey design is so important because it’s tangible, filling fans and players with pride and adding an emotional aspect to the jersey. We want to be the catalyst for the sport, and it helps to have a Southeast Asian brand who understand what makes up the scene here.”
Headhunter will also be supplying official apparel merchandise and fan wear at the upcoming HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens, held from 28th – 29th April at the Singapore National Stadium, where 16 of the world’s best teams will play 45 matches over the two days. This will also mark the first time the world receives a proper introduction to the brand and apparel is already on sale here.

Not only will attendees get to witness the adrenaline pumping matches at the stadium – the Rugby World 7s is touted as an entire family affair, with an entire ‘Rock, Ruck, & Rumble’ fiesta of activities from kids’ entertainment to live music lined up. As part of the promotional efforts for the festival, Rugby themed events are held over various weekends to introduce members of the public to the sport, as well as purchase discounted tickets and meet rugby celebrities. Ticket holders currently even enjoy promotions and benefits across various eateries, retail outlets, entertainment hotspots, and tourist attractions in the city from now until 30th April 2018.
