This holiday season, come enjoy children’s choir music at its most angelic as Licha Stelaus Productions welcomes The Saint Marc Children’s Choir (PCSM: Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint Marc) to present an evening of catchy Disney tunes and familiar Christmas carols!
The Saint Marc Children’s Choir is best known for singing in the 2004 Academy-award nominated movie Les Choristes, about a successful orchestra conductor who returns to France when his mother dies. In their Singapore performance, they will take to the historic Victoria Concert Hall for two nights only on 20th and 21st November. Audience members can expect to hear timeless Disney classics like “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Pinocchio, “Colours Of The Wind” from Pocahontas, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King and even the more recent “Let It Go” from Frozen. But interestingly, these songs will not be sung in English – they’ll be presented in French, making this a perfect opportunity to expose younger audience members to the language in a fun and accessible way!
The choir will also be performing Christmas carols, perfect to imbue audiences with the holiday spirit, and will even be joined by Singapore’s very own Quek Jun Rui, a 15-year-old oboist currently studying at NUS Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, as he lends his musical talents to the performance. With so much young talent gathered in a single concert hall, expect to hear only beautiful melodies from these angelic voices and get set for a magical evening of voices you’d swear were a gift from the heavens with the Saint Marc Children’s Choir.
The Saint Marc Children’s Choir will perform on 20th and 21st November 2018 at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets available from SISTIC
