LONDON – In the second play by Mimi Monteith, the young playwright explores the concept of abortion, and pro-choice in a world that becomes increasingly complicated as the days go by.

Struck by a fear that she knows, somehow, that the two closest people to her in the world would vote for anti-abortion laws to be passed, SONDER explores the concept of morality and its grey areas. Recalling how at age 9 she already knew she didn’t want children, a series of events that takes place over three days throws her life completely off course, and a seemingly simple answer she gives now means everything to everyone else.

Will she lose everything that matters to her? SONDER, taking its title from the realisation that all lives are equally complicated beyond the surface and our knowledge of strangers, explores these complexities, as it premieres at the Bread and Roses Theatre this February.

SONDER runs from 18th to 23rd February 2020 at The Bread and Roses Theatre in Clapham. For tickets and more information, visit their website here
