Dream Academy extends run of ‘The Divorce Party!’ into January 2026

Dream Academy’s celebrated production The Divorce Party is excited to announce an extended run from 19 January in the new year. The collaboration with The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore has received rave reviews from media and audiences alike.

If you’ve missed out on the family drama, now’s your chance to grab tickets and tune into the piping-hot tea! “This is one special Divorce Party, because it’s really a celebration of family and love. Sometimes when things fall apart, the dramedy entertains even as it enlightens”, says Selena Tan, Founder of Dream Academy and Director of The Divorce Party.

The Divorce Party takes patrons on a comedy dinner experience following the More Crazy Less Rich Choo Plastic Family of eccentrics as they celebrate a family member’s divorce. Step into a night of scandal and chaos and relish it unfolding before your eyes as you enjoy a three-course meal crafted by the talented culinary team from The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. Guests can enjoy a salivating starter and delicious main course, followed up by a luxurious dessert buffet featuring local delicacies.

Audiences have praised Sebastian Tan’s performance as Penelope “Penny” Choo Kim Kim, the meddling and larger-than-life matriarch of the Choo Plastic Family. Known for his beloved alter ego Broadway Beng, the local theatre legend steps into new heels as the multi-faceted and highly accomplished Penny Choo. Tan’s hilarious portrayal is bolstered by his singing chops, effortlessly crooning out Whitney Houston classics and more.
