Following a rousing set at Beerfest 2018, Southeast Asia’s one and only Pink Floyd tribute band ‘Welcome To The ‘Machine’ is back this February with a monster of a show. Playing for one night only at The Lab at Kallang Place, Welcome to the Machine presents Brain Damage, a mega concert featuring two of Pink Floyd’s most critically acclaimed albums in their entirety.
Released in 1973 and 1975, The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here were released respectively, with one exploring themes of conflict, greed, the passage of time, death and insanity, and breaking sales records with over 45 million units sold, while the other explored the band’s camaraderie and its relationship with the recording industry, similarly breaking sales records.
Beloved by fans and revered by music aficionados, both albums represented the pinnacle of technology and recording techniques available at the time, and have since withstood the test of time to inspire music for generations to come, albums that pushed the envelope and exceeded any and all expectations within the recording industry.
With mega hits like “Time”, “Money”, “Any Colour You Like” and of course, “Welcome To The Machine”, watch as Welcome To The Machine brings both albums to life for the first time in Singapore, with the help of an ensemble of musicians to recreate these recordings, and local experimental and design team ‘MI5Chief Makers’ of Zoukout fame to bring a hi-tech show with video projection, laser lighting and The Lab’s quadraphonic sound system. Don’t miss this wild ride of a show, and get your tickets now.
Brain Damage plays at The Lab, #05-08, 44 Kallang Place, Singapore 339172 on 23rd February 2019. Tickets available from Peatix
