Local immersive theatre company ANDSOFORTH Jr. is back this May with a massive, brand new theatrical extravaganza! Best known for creating family friendly versions of their parent company’s immersive theatre experiences, this time around, they’re taking things to the next level with 22 Stories – a sprawling, exploratory trip around 22 experiential rooms in a single, 20,000 square foot playspace in the West of Singapore.

Created by ANDSOFORTH Jr.’s founders and co-artistic directors Stuart Wee and Emily Png, 22 Stories is set to feature an all-star line-up of whimsical characters and out of this world concepts from their past hits and even some unexpected additions to the roster. Participants are given four hours to freely roam around the four themed ‘realms’ that make-up the 22 rooms and interact with immersive art installations, activities and storytelling experiences at every corner.

Each of the four realms offers up a quintessentially different experience; enter the desert world of the Land of Nights, inspired by the One Thousand and One Nights, where you’ll encounter Ali Baba, Aladdin and even a mystical Genie. Follow Alice down the rabbit hole in Wonderland, with quirky characters such as the Mad Hatter and the maniacal Queen of Hearts herself. Then head on over to Storyland to slide down the beanstalk with Jack, or meet the Candy Witch and her literal cottage of desserts, or return to Grimmsneyland  and meet the Little Mermaid, or ride in Cinderella’s magical pumpkin carriage.

Once upon a time is never enough, with two sets of characters alternating every week (with each week beginning on Monday and ending on Sunday) to look forward to as part of the experience. It’s not just for kids either – adults and kids at heart will delight in the 22 “Instagrammable” rooms available to explore, with intricately designed backdrops perfect for posing with. Look out for rooms filled with neon lights, or quite simply, theatrical tricks that are sure to surprise even the most seasoned arts lover.

Not only will the camera get to eat, so will you, with the introduction of Wonder Foodland, a dedicated rest area catered by Farm Appetit, where you can purchase freshly prepared snacks and meals to quench your thirst and sate your hunger. Get curious, get excited, and get ready for ANDSOFORTH Jr.’s most ambitious project yet, and grab your tickets to 22 Stories for oodles of fun as you open your eyes in wonder, and come experience fairytales and folklore as you’ve never experienced them before.

22 Stories plays at 200 Pandan Gardens S609336 from 1st May to 30th June 2019 (Fridays to Sundays), from 5.30pm-9.30pm (Fri to Sun), and 10am-2pm (Sat to Sun only). Tickets available here

Note: There will be two sets of characters who alternate every week (with each week beginning on Monday and ending on Sunday). It is recommended audience members attend two sessions, one on an odd week and one on an even week, in order to enjoy the full range of characters available from 22 Stories.
