Rang Mahal presents brand new gin tasting programme, with In-Gin-ious Pairings and Indian-inspired Cocktails This August

Acclaimed Indian restaurant Rang Mahal has debuted a brand new gin tasting programme, a first for any fine-dining Indian restaurant in Singapore. In collaboration with six premium Gin labels, including Hapusa, Greater Than and Jaisalmer, which are all distilled in India, the gin tasting experience will also see the launch of three handcrafted cocktails and tasting flights.

Rang Mahal has always been known for their attention to provenance and the origin of their ingredients. So with a focus on gin, it’s no wonder they’ve chosen to work with Hapusa and Greater Than, whose botanicals are carefully foraged and proudly distilled in India, as well as Star of Bombay, resulting in three superstar cocktails with plenty of flavour, nuance and range, easy to drink for those new to the gin world. These are, namely – the Greater Than gin-based Rajah’s Tipple, with homemade betel leaf vermouth, homemade mango honey, tonic water; the Hapusa Himalayan dry gin-based Himalayan Snowfall, with homemade gulkand and ginger syrup, fresh juice of lemon, water of chana; and the Star of Bombay gin-based Curry in a Hurry, with curry leaves, pineapple chunks and juice, and lime juice fresh juice of lime

In addition, gin tasting flights will also be available to complement the robust flavours of the modern Indian specialties signature to the restaurant. Each G&T is available
at $25++ and a G&T flight of three is priced at $66++. As for those who simply can’t get enough of gin, Rang Mahal’s Sunday buffet lunch will satisfy their desires not only with
40 dishes from different regions of India with chaat and dosa live stations, but also free flow of gin from the mobile beverage bar. Offering up a selection of 10 gin labels, diners will be sure to enjoy their Sunday afternoon sipping back and relaxing, available from 12 to 2.30pm at $108++ per person.
