Singapore to Host First-Ever Red Bull Dance Your Style SEA Regional Finals

Singapore’s dance scene is stepping into a new spotlight, and this time, the world is watching. This April, the Lion City transforms into a cultural playground of rhythm, movement, and raw individuality as Red Bull Dance Your Style lands with its first-ever Southeast Asia Regional Final hosted right here. More than just a competition, it’s a celebration of freestyle expression, where the rules are loose, the energy is electric, and the power sits squarely in the hands of the crowd.

Forget choreographed routines and predictable judging panels. At Red Bull Dance Your Style, dancers walk into the unknown, literally. Tracks are spun live, jumping from old-school classics to today’s chart-toppers, and competitors must adapt on instinct alone. It’s less about perfection and more about personality, presence, and that unteachable spark that makes a crowd erupt.

And yes, the audience decides who advances. This format has made the global competition a magnet for boundary-pushing dancers, and now Singapore gets to host not just the action, but the movement itself.

For years, Singapore’s dance community has been building quietly, through underground sessions, studio nights, and tight-knit crews. Now, that groundwork is paying off. “Hosting the Regional Final here isn’t just an event—it’s a statement,” shares Goh Xiang Tian (aka Exxtii), Managing Director of Recognize! Studios. “It shows how far the community has come, and tells the next generation that they don’t have to look overseas to dream big anymore.”

The journey begins on 18 April, when the first-ever Singapore Qualifiers take over Singapore Management University (SMU). Open to freestyle dancers aged 18 and above, the stage is set for fresh talent to break through. From there, the top two dancers will move on to the Southeast Asia Regional Final on 25 April at *SCAPE Ground Theatre, a venue synonymous with youth culture and creative expression.

They’ll face off against the region’s best, including qualifiers from across Southeast Asia and a lineup of wildcard entries. At stake? A coveted spot at the World Final in Zurich, Switzerland. Adding to the excitement, three international heavyweights are touching down in Singapore as part of the Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour 2026:

  • MT Pop – the 2024 World Champion հայտնի for his precision and musicality
  • The D’Soraki – the 2022 World Champion հայտնի for his fluid, genre-defying style
  • LockerZee – a standout from Street Woman Fighter Season 2 with infectious charisma

Beyond the main stage, these dance powerhouses will host exclusive workshops, offering rare, up-close access to the techniques, mindset, and creative philosophies that define world-class freestyle.

Red Bull Dance Your Style is really about connection. It’s about bridging local communities with a global network, creating spaces where dancers can not only compete, but belong. Whether you’re stepping into the circle or cheering from the sidelines, the experience is immersive, unpredictable, and undeniably human.

If you’ve ever felt the pull of the beat, this is your moment. The Singapore Qualifiers on April 18 aren’t just an entry point, they’re an invitation. An invitation to express, to represent, and to show the world exactly what you’ve got. Because in this arena, it’s not about where you’re from it’s about how you move.
