LONDON – Caryl Churchill (Top Girls, Money) is one of the UK’s most celebrated writers and playwrights, having penned seminal scripts from Top Girls to A Number which are now modern classics. her most recent play, Escaped Alone, opened at the Royal Court to critical acclaim and transferred to New York, and told of an absurdist tale where four women drink tea as the apocalypse beckons.
Now, witness the master writer as she brings her deliciously dark and modern fairytales to the stage at the Royal Court Theatre with Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. Imp, featuring unforgettable fictions ranging from a girl made of glass to gods and murders, a serial killer’s friends and a secret in a bottle.
These four stories by Churchill will be directed by James Macdonald, who also directed Escaped Alone, as well as The Children for the Royal Court. He will direct a cast of eleven, featuring Kwabena Ansah, Caelan Edie, Deborah Findlay, Louisa Harland, Toby Jones, Patrick McNamee, Tom Mothersdale, Rebekah Murrell, Sarah Niles, Leo Rait and Sule Rimi.
