They’ve been getting kidnapped for 11 years now, but that hasn’t stopped the irreverent, irresistible and insane energy and humour of How Drama as they bring back Fat Kids Are Harder To Kidnap X for a rerun this August, after a fantastic sold-out run last year.

In the show, five cast members embark on a theatrical marathon as they attempt to perform 31 plays in an hour, with the audience deciding the order of the plays by shouting the corresponding number when the actors give them the cue. Tackling some of the most controversial and prominent issues and affairs plaguing our tiny island nation, from the MRT breakdowns to the Trump-Kim summit, along with “greatest hits” from past editions, including a sketch about a grammar conscious loan shark and children’s book And Tango Makes Three, expect nothing less than a madcap adventure that’ll have you guffawing all the way through.

Describing it as “the perfect, quintessentially Singaporean fringe show” in our review last year, over the years, Fat Kids has done the country proud by having performed at the prestigious John F. Kennedy Centre For The Performing Arts in Washington, DC, as part of the SG50 celebrations in 2015, and warmly received at the Paris Fringe Festival in Paris in 2017, praised for its explosive energy and audience integration.

Big-hearted, zany and promising nothing less than a good night out, don’t miss this chance to enjoy a show that’s all about making loving jabs at this country we know and love as Fat Kids Are Harder to Kidnap X returns to the Esplanade Annexe Studio this August!

Fat Kids Are Harder to Kidnap X plays from 16th to 18th August 2019 at the Esplanade Annexe Studio. Tickets available from Peatix
